Researching and writing 15 books on Florida, Sandra Friend has learned about every nook and cranny in Florida. Her husband Rob Smith, Jr. is an Orlando native with a keen sense of Florida history, politics, film, and literature.  The 16-page activity book Exploring the Florida Trail introduces young children to hiking in Florida and natural aspects of the Florida Trail. It includes full-page illustrations, games and puzzles developed by Rob, and accompanying text written by Sandra, who also did the graphic design.
